Worried about the wrong one

I thought with the new kittens I would have to worry about the baby getting a hold of them.. Aiden is too young to understand how fragile the kittens are. He wants to hold them, but he is too rough. Now I am finding that I was worried about the wrong one. Deedee, the 7wrong month old kitten, wants to play with the new kittens. I once again found her in the bed with mama and the kittens. One of the kittens was trying to struggle to get a nipple to nurse on. Deedee kept trying to get the kittens tail, but was missing and kept getting the kittens foot. It was kinda funny to watch. But I had to kick Deedee out if the room so mama and the kittens can get their rest.
Happy reading!

KITTENS!!!

The kittens are here! The kittens are here! I don't know who is more excited, me or the kids lol. So last night our momma cat was acting a little crazy. So we had the feeling she was going to deliver soon. I feel asleep on the couch. At 1:30 in the morning I woke up to go to bed. I found her under the bed having the kittens. She is a first time mom and still young herself, so she was having some difficulties. I was able to mover her and the two already born out from under the bed and into the bin. I woke my daughter up cause I promised her I would if she had them. So I had to help deliver a couple and help her get them cleaned up. The whole time my daughter kept going "Eww gross. Mom your not going to touch that. Eww she's eating it. Eww mom!" It was funny listening to her. She had seven total, but sadly the runt died a few minutes after birth. I know there is a kitty heaven out there for him or her.
Then a funny thing today. I also have a 7 month old kitten. The now momma cat helped raise her so she allowed the 7 month old to come in the bed with her and the babies. Until the kitten decided it was time to play, and the she kicked her out.
And for those of you wondering, yes she will be fixed after this.  For now we are just going to enjoy the kittens until it is time to find a good home for them.

Where do they get there energy?

Bright and early my four year gets out of bed.  He has been up for the last hour and a half and has already ran up and down the house 50 times.  He has played out side and told me 10 rambling stories.  Where does this energy come from.  Can I have some?
I am still groggy and barely moving.  I have to get ready for work and I am slowly doing that.  Even my cup of coffee hasn't helped yet.  I have always said that if you could bottle a child's energy, one drop would be enough to last you for 3 days.  I would make a fortune lol.
And then there is sleeping.  When you try to put a child down for a nap or to go to bed, they fight you.  If someone told me that I could take a nap I would be like, "yes please, where is the bed?"  What I wouldn't give to be young and full of energy again.  Well got to go.  Time to go chase down the kid and see what he is getting into.

Family orientated content

I am still new to blogging and was looking at some blog hops.  I was hesitant to post my other blog on some of them because they said must be family orientated.  On my other blog I complain about my and my husbands distant relationship.  One post was about my lack of attraction for him.  But then I started looking at other blogs and the sites.  Some of the things on there I did not consider family orientated.  Then I started thinking about how times have changed.  I was raised by a strict farm breed mother and my opinion of family orientated content is strictly "1985 g rated."  A lot has changed since then.  At my daughters age she knows more than I did at her age.  I was probably still playing with barbies when I was her age lol.
Then I kind of looked in to the way i raise my children.  I have a very open standing with my children.  I don't believe in sheltering my children.  If the ask a question, I will be honest.  I won't go into graphic detail, but I will be honest.  I would rather have my kids learn things from me then from the wrong source.  The other day my neighbor was apologizing profusely for accidentally saying the f word in front of my 11 year old son.  He is in middle school now and kids curse all the time.  I am ok with the accidental slip.  My rule for cursing is as long as it is accidental and not directed at another person.
The term "family orientated content" also got me thinking about a conversation with my daughter a week ago.  In an elective class of hers she had to get a permission slipped sign cause some of the areas are a little touchy.  The class discusses the causes and effects of topics like lying, cheating, stealing, and sexting.  When my daughter handed my the permission slip she said " I already know you do not have a problem with me learning these things."  So we sat down and talked.  I do not have a problem with her learning those things because they are all around with life nowadays.  We discussed how kids who are not allowed to learn about the causes and effects of these topics are the ones more like to get in trouble with one of them.  A well informed child makes a better decision.
So I am curious what everyone elses opinion is of "family oriented content?"  Please leave a comment and let me know.

Welcome to my family

Introducing the triple a family:
Alexis- 13- Has been acting like a teenager for a while now, but officially crossed into the teenage years.  She is very sociable but not very outgoing.  Good student with a bright future.  Is smarter than her mother.  Likes a cross between tom boy and prissy.

Anthony- 11- Very shy quite boy.  Has a small learning deficiency.  Loves video games and drawing.  Would rather stay at home than go out with friends.  Just started his first year of middle school.

Aiden- 4- My hellion child.  This child is none stop go go go.  Not a moments rest.  He has some of the same deficiencies that his older brother has.  Gives you a smile that makes you almost agree to anything.

Since this blog is all about my kids, I thought I would start by introducing them.
